I'm trying to imagine another year in America of Trump sinking deeper into madness

I don't want to speculate too much about what might happen because there are rules here about kooky, extremist content.

BUT...look at where we are at TODAY and imagine 365 days down the road, with Trump getting a little more insane with each passing day.

We have two options that I see...Republicans grow a spine (not likely), or Democrats sweep the Midterms.

I'm not seeing a 3rd option other than the clock tolling for Grampy's dirt nap. And I still stand by my "Fred lived to 94" comments. I think expecting Trump to go belly-up before the end of 2028 is simply wishful thinking.

How long before he goes running buck naked down the White House drive?

I assure you that we cannot even imagine or fathom some of Trump's next moves.

Trump’s handlers will be doing everything they can to hide him from the public. It’s possible that after the primaries republicans will start distancing themselves from him, and that after the election enough of them will cooperate to remove him from office. I’m not saying it’s certain, of course, but I think the odds are higher than most people think. Trump’s past his sell-by date, and seriously starting to stink even to republican noses. Congressional Republicans have children and a lot more in the stock market than most of us.

Or he could croak. A couple different health care professionals who work with dementia patients have stated they think he has about six months.

Fred had dementia, but I think he had a much more healthy lifestyle than his son. With Donald, everything seems to be excessive, as if his amazing genes will somehow compensate for all his terrible habits.

Like most tyrants in history (Hitler, Roman emperors and relatively minor thugs like Saddam/Gaddafi/Ceausescu were exceptions)

those tyrants. He has a much shorter window to build and rule an empire. On some level, he must know that his days are numbered. It doesn't matter how much money and power he accrues, he is still very mortal and vulnerable, probably more so than most.

Remember, he used to yell and get mad all the time, and then he would fire people in every episode? I wonder whatever happened to him?

is doing a fairly good job of NOT sanewashing this letter that trump wrote about taking Greenland because he didn't get the Peace Prize. She's acting outraged and making clear that this is not normal, unlike the talking heads on CNN. So that's something. At the same time, I wish Dem leadership was everywhere today calling this out with ridicule, scorn, and outrage.

And I haven’t seen anything to move off that. He had a year to work through all the good work that Biden did, particularly on the international front, and undermine the safety and economic security of the American people. Now he’s on his own and we’re in the look out below phase.

if he is afraid the midterms could hand Democrats some power to rein him in. America250 could be a horror story.
