What would you do if you knew ICE was moving into your neighborhood?

I live in an area of vacation rental homes. They are here... staying low.. uncomfortable..

Our neighbors lost their pool guy a few months ago. Our cleaning lady lost her brother in law 2 days before xmas. He's now in Calixeco in a holding cell. He's been in the USA for years, owns a business and has a mortgage.

People’s phones, IDs, cars, clothing, jewelry, etc are being taken by these horrors.

Since no one knows where they are taking them, it would be pretty easy to steal from them.

it might be nice to spill water in places where they hang out. Slippery stuff, frozen water.

At first, they were blaring immigrant music. I subtly mentioned that there were some pendejos in the complex. They got quiet, finished fast and left.

Felt strange to think that the prop mgr would hire folks if it endangers them.

I have neighbors who have always had outside gatherings in the summer and play music I can’t identify. Not last summer. They are staying quiet.

9. Do what we've been doing in Minneapolis. Organize, and do it now.

If they are just staying there and not doing anything, just watch, but if they are renting places to stay they are getting ready to start operations in your city. Organize watchers and keep track of where they're going, following at a safe distance. Describe the vehicles and make a list of their license plates. You can tell they're ICE because there will be at least 2 men and they will be wearing masks or gaiters. They will be in larger SUVs with dark tinted windows, usually with out-of-state license plates. Track them in real time on Signal. If you see actual ICE activity on the ground (surrounding a house or a car or taking a person), form a group at a safe distance and blow whistles. Be ready to support immigrants and their families with food, rides, etc., because they will be afraid to leave their homes once these operations get going.

- None of the usual touristy behaviors of vacation renters - walking/running/fishing, taking pics, etc.
- Camo and gaiters
- Dark Pickups (plates noted)
- Not in male pairs, but with normal looking wives/girlfriends in civ clothes.
- All left at the same time this morning in separate trucks.

Probably preparing to set up concentration camp in my little town. It was covered by Rachel a few weeks ago.

High ick factor...

I do know what to say and what not to, but I'm not a good actress and my contempt would be poorly masked. But, I do know the law. That said, I DON'T know how to deal with those for whom the law, constitution, and repercussions are meaningless. I do know that I feel about my sweet old doggy girl as most parents feel about their young children--and harm to her would send me over the edge and all bets would be off. If she were to be cruelly and fatally injured, my outcome would undoubtedly be similar. I suppose I am prepared for that in this time. Many of those we've seen have seemed to thrive on cruelty.

So, smart avoidance when on my own and intelligent protest with others.
