Progressive media company MeidasTouch Network announced it was cutting ties with Michael Cohen on Saturday, hours after he claimed prosecutors pressured him to mold his testimony to bolster a political witch hunt against President Donald Trump.

You may reasonably ask why I am speaking out now. The answer is simple, Cohen wrote. I have witnessed firsthand the damage done when prosecutors pick their target first and then seek evidence to fit a predetermined narrative. ....

(25,480 posts)How many fictions will this guy invent in the press and in the courts to curry favor with F47? My hunch is "as many as he can". And struggling networks eager to score points with F47 will amplify his tales. He just burned his new allies real hot, in the process becoming a major obstacle for the left generally and the Democratic party particularly.
Ugly enough in itself, uglier still for what it portends: Michael Cohen saw something up ahead that spooked him good. Maybe he's wrong, I sure hope he is, but it seems like he's betting on F47's long-term success and a painful punishment if he's still a political enemy. And now he'll throw the weight of his obsequious fictional prowess behind the outcome he fears so as to spare himself the worst of the consequences, everyone else be damned.

(1,951 posts)I gave him the benefit of the doubt for some of his break with Trump and Bill Barr throwing him in solitary for talking.
But the time he spent fixing Trump's legal problems with hush money and all of the actual boiler plate NDA forms for women Trump had affairs with, he never talked about. Some of this could still be covered under attorney-client privilege but he basically said
Trump would not do underage women which never rang true. With all of the teen 'beauty' pageants he ran I never believed that.
He got pretty weird when Tara Palmieri pressed him on the Katy Johnson suits which would have been during his 'fixer' time.
We will see where all of this goes.

(13,463 posts)Defending The Donald has consequences. Or, should.
Go back to the first time he was interviewed. When pressured about Trump's treatment of women, all he had was "Says who?" "Says who?"
Ever listen to the tapes of him threatening people on Trump's behalf?
Besides, he was for him before he was against him. So, F-Him sideways.
