The officer standing forward of an occupied vehicle with its engine running in an angry crowd situation, or a mother of 3?
In short, his training or lack of it contributed to her death did it not? Who trains officers to act like that in that situation?
I think it's good argument for the civil case, perhaps more.

They're not even acknowledging that he did anything wrong. Never mind murder, they're saying he acted appropriately and consistent with policy.

And yes to all you said. That why they have use affixed body cams for this purpose, in fact
Funnily though, this asshole appears to be a 10 year local LE veteran. I bet when he's in his cop clothes he doesn't purposefully step 5 feet in front of running, manned vehicles though. IMHO he purposefully placed himself in a spot where he could a) easily get out of teh way in time, and b) still shoot the driver while claiming self-defense, if she decided to drive away. He's knows he can't get away with that unmasked in a cop uniform, but with his "total immunity" Big Government job, it's easy-peasy.

(4,823 posts)He starts his video recording session at at the right rear of the victim's car. He is focussed on the screen of his phone as he walks along the right side of the car to its front. I think it is at some point at the front of the car that he begins to snap out of his daydreaming and stops recording. As I mentioned in previous posts, for all we know, he may have been live streaming the scene on Facebook to impress his friends.
If you look at the video analysis published by the New York Times, your will see the video of him looking intently at the screen of his phone as he is walking along the right side of Ms. Good's car.
