The 1-minute video at the link is hard to watch. It is the woman and the dog who were in the car with victim. The woman, in shock and crying, is sitting on the sidewalk near the victim's crashed car. She identifies herself as the victim's wife to a bystander who is filming the aftermath of the shooting. The victim's car can be seen in the background. The woman says she doesn't know what to do, that they have no family nearby as they are new to the area, and that they have a 6 year old child who is at school.

(4,823 posts)The gentleman who recorded the video did an excellent job narrating it and keeping shocking scenes out of view. The link to the video as it appeared on Facebook was posted on DU this morning. At the end, the victim is seen (covered with a fabric) being carried down the sidewalk on a stretcher.

(57,566 posts)My summary of the video is my own wording, from personally watching the video; it is not the Daily Mail's words. Here is the full video, from reddit:

It is not clear when the woman and dog exited the car. But Scripps News, a trusted news source, says, "Good was shot in the head in front of a family member in a snowy residential neighborhood south of downtown Minneapolis." https://www.democraticunderground.com/100220919205
Also, the victim could have been married to a man and after his death married a woman. It happens.

(11,565 posts)Maybe the deceased driver was going to pick up the wife and the trouble starts before she can get in?

(57,566 posts)Per AP:

I recall hearing one of the bystanders yelling, "You killed my neighbor!" at ICE after the shooting. I think she came upon the ICE vehicles blocking her street and could not go further to get to her home. Probably at that point her partner and their dog exited the vehicle to walk the rest of the way while she stayed in the car to figure out where to move her car, or wait until ICE moved, which they appeared to be doing. But in the video in the OP, the bystander notes her wife is covered in blood, so maybe she did not get out until the vehicle crashed, or , she ran to her after the crash and got covered in blood then. I notice only the driver's side airbag deployed. That would indicate there was nobody sitting in the passenger seat at the time of crash, otherwise both airbags would have deployed.
Regardless, she was just trying to park at her house. But, ICE thought she was a protester blocking the road and got a hard on to arrest her. That's when ICE in the silver pickup stopped instead of going around her, unlike the other ICE vehicles which simply drove around her and left. The ICE guys in the pickup demanded she get out of her car, and you know the rest.

(26,334 posts)The ex-husband wasn't even there; I find it odd that the AP would go with that hearsay.
SunSeeker
(57,566 posts)The wife watched it all go down from the sidewalk. In the OP video, it sounds like the wife, in between sobs, mentions dropping off the 6 year old at school.

(4,823 posts). . . stated the wife had blood and brain matter on her face. I think she was in the vehicle when the killer opened fire.

(17,023 posts)Not to sound unsympathetic, because I've been a basket case since yesterday, but just to point out the obvious element to this video:
ICE doesn't even detain the woman who was in the passenger seat? She's a witness if nothing else. They don't come to her to see if she's injured, they don't interact with her at all, they don't care that she left the vehicle and could have left the scene. This is certainly not law enforcement in action.
They were interested in keeping everyone, including the person who identified as a physician, AWAY and one has to wonder why. Are they trying to manipulate the crime scene? If I hear that drugs were found in the vehicle, or so other similarly preposterous crap from them, I'm going to remember this part.
My sincere condolences to Ms. Good's wife and family and her dog who is, obviously, part of that family.
