(Also the Feast of St. Stephen)

"...At the close of Dec. 25 each year, most people consider the Christmas season to be a wrap. However, for Christians who follow the traditional liturgical Lutheran and Anglican Church calendars and celebrate Christmastide (also known as “the Twelve Days of Christmas“), it is only the start of their sacred, festive season.

What celebration comes immediately after Christmas? “Boxing Day,” which falls on Dec. 26. And whether this is your first year observing the holiday, or it’s a staple in your home, we’ve got 50 ‘Happy Boxing Day’ Greetings and Wishes for you to share!

Boxing Day (also known as “Saint Stephen’s Day” or “The Feast of Saint Stephen”) is centered around the first Christian martyr. It’s a holiday of volunteering time and giving money, gifts and thoughtful gestures to the less fortunate or to those in service industries—although, today, it is also recognized as a shopping holiday.

Below, we have ‘Happy Boxing Day’ wishes for your family, funny Boxing Day greetings and Boxing Day wishes inspired by the Bible to help you celebrate this second day of Christmastide and continue spreading Christmas cheer! One of the best parts about the Christmas season is the love and warmth from those around us, and we can keep the spirit of the holiday alive by paying it forward and showing real, tangible kindness to others in our communities.".... Growing up in Canada it was much like Black Friday here. Often people would receive gifts of cash for Xmas and/or presents that needed to be returned to stores (I thought that's where 'Boxing Day' came from)! It was the best shopping day of the year with all the holiday decorations and perks.
