I quit the old fart society long ago.

More Stooges and Mister Bean flicks.

BASIC programming. Hypercard.

Less salad and more chocolate bars.

Ahead of our Pinepple Express storm (it hit last night).

Got home, unpacked food, went to restart the car to move it to the front of the house.

Nothing, Nada, No lights, no click,

So I got out the voltmeter …12.7 volts on the posts but both clamps were looooooose. Extremely odd, since the car started fine at my last stop. This happened to me one other time, at work, over 20 years ago. Until I got out the wrench and tightened them, the daily panic attack (WTF, this was just working … I had this in my hand 2 minutes ago …)

Got some sleep last night in the windstorm. I moved to the back of the house, away from 30 or 40 mph winds, and put on the FM radio to mask the noise. Inflatable bed to the rescue.

I get better at all these things, but it’s never easy when the 2 by 4 slaps you upside the head.

Almost 77 and with 6 or 7 acres to patrol. Too bad the butler, groundskeeper, chauffeur and on-site watchkeeper and fixer-upper quit.

I get to do it all.

Lots of wonderful in-laws.
I had only one living relative until I got married again a few years ago now have lots
A lot of that is due to me moving every few years. I think I’ve just bought my last house and have only lived here for about 6 months.
But I have kept a couple of my old doctor. I would have to travel 200 miles to see them, but now we can have phone visits.

myself their "wicked" step-mother, but they (fortunately) disagree. One of them just sent me my first-ever i-phone. I don't know how to use it. Anyone have a source where I can learn about it? Have had a couple of flip-phones, but hardly used them -- only for emergencies. I need help.
