He always interrupts others, especially women, but this morning he repeated himself, spoke over guests, and basically never shut up. Simone did a terrific job.

3. There's a huge gulf between calls to defund the police and sending the military or the FBI to patrol the streets

Scarborough felt compelled to bring up the calls to defund into his argument when, in fact, the defund movement has been discredited even by Dems. He never answers the issue of juvenile crime beyond muttering something, something about policy to address that. As if Donald Trump is interested in policy of any sort, particularly anything to do with inner-city kids.

Putting the military on American streets is a hideous overreach. I'm sure the Mad King is delighted by Joe's defense because if he can away with it in DC, he'll take it across the country.

Stop normalizing and/or excusing this authoritarian takeover. Have you ever felt unsafe? Oh, then we'll deploy 1000 National Guardsmen so you'll never feel uncomfortable again. Have you ever felt immigrants have an unfair advantage in the labor market? Oh, we have the solution--Alligator Alcatraz.

And the beat goes on.

Nothing Trump and his goons are doing is in good faith. They want us all to feel numb, shrug our shoulders, nothing we can do but hunker down.

once the soldiers leave. Soldiers are not police. And she is correct that the occupation will do nothing about juvenile crime.
