https://www.theverge.com/analysis/756994/rfk-jr-wearables-maha-health-wearables-disordered-eating#commentsIt looks like Bobby now wants every American to wear a monitor that keeps real time track of all your health data. When ICE has deported the last Guatemalan whose ancestry cannot be traced to the Mayflower, they can then start to cull citizens who are in less than perfect health, force them into rest-cure camps (at their own expense, of course), and not release them until they can be useful worker ants again.
By the way, this doesn't surprise me, but if it should turn out to be not true, please let me know so I can delete this. It wasn't so incredible that I thought it worthwhile to spend more time than a superficial check for disclaimers.

(1,121 posts)Hey Booby, just what are the qualifications needed to become a wearables expert?
This should be fodder for the MAGArat to deep dive into the conspiracy theories that the government wants to monitor to monitor youre movements and bod functions 24/7.
RFK Sr. must be turning over in his grave.

What good in having a wearable if the republic party keeps trying take Obamacare, Medicare, and Medicaid away?

(5,029 posts)This is from an 2/18/25 Radar On-Line article titled: INVESTIGATIONS: Trump's Health Secretary RFK Jr's Controversial Ties to Scientologist Law Firm Wisner Baum Laid Bare As Fears Rise Over his Impact on 'Black Wellbeing'
https://www.newsbreak.com/radaronline-561399/3818954976053-investigations-trump-s-health-secretary-rfk-jr-s-controversial-ties-to-scientologist-law-firm-wisner-baum-laid-bare-as-fears-rise-over-his-impact-on-black-wellbeing
Interesting article - Here are a few snips:
During his confirmation hearing, Senator Elizabeth Warren went hard on RFK Jr., asking him if he would continue to receive consulting fees from Wisner Baum, according to a report by The Underground Bunker.
The 71-year-old acknowledged he would continue to receive fees at the time, but would instead pass it on to one of his sons if he was confirmed.
The law firm is currently suing Merck, the makers of Gardasil, the HPV vaccine.
snip
Both partners have huge ties to Scientology, as Baum was an un-indicted co-conspirator in the Snow White Program that infiltrated the United States government in the 1970s and resulted in the 1977 raid of Scientology by the FBI .

Trump has literally put a nut case in almost every cabinet position. When Marco Rubio comes across as the only half-way sane guy in the room, you know that any Trump cabinet meeting is going to be populated with Looney Tunes characters.

(3,329 posts)Get two or three of these together, and you discover they all give results that are all over the place. The example I'm thinking of was the ones to measure steps. One gave a number of like 5000, another 12,000 and another 9000.
Can't afford one of these gee whiz gizmos anyway.

(59,771 posts)They can't win with what they are offering. But with force and power, they don't need to win an election, all they need to do is win an occupation. You don't send military divisions into downtown L.A. to round up a few dozen undocumented Hondurans. You do it as a test case to see how well it works if you plan on taking full control of major urban centers, with an eye toward dismantling dissent and opposition, and then eliminating them.
