They made some kind of private pact (like a pre-nup) before he ran for the 2nd term. She won't divorce him while he's President, but she also won't live with him. She is required to be present for certain events, and the rest of the time she's on her own. Chump has already set up the trust fund for Barron, in case he dies before Barron finishes college etc. She's got her money put away too, and she's just waiting for him to finally kick the bucket.
