conservatives "cowards" doesn't phase them because they look at themselves and say "I can't be a coward because I drive that big truck and carry that big gun". There doesn't seem to be anyway to burst that bubble.
They carried "deplorable" as a badge of honor. I wish we could find an insult so apt, so vile, so repulsive, so memorable, that they would never go near it, yet be forced to carry it for the next 100 years like a dead albatross.
