Concerning evidence of "yes men (and women)".

I have heard Trump say publicly on at least 5 occasions that he is "lowering drug prices 1,000 and 1,500 percent."

Even a 5th grader knows that you can't lower prices more than 100%. Even that would make them free.

With all his economic advisers, hasn't one of them pulled him aside, in private, and explained this to him? Wouldn't a sound adviser tell Trump that you can reduce prices 50, 75 or even 90 percent, but the number can't be more than 100% because that makes you sound like an idiot.

Yet, I just heard him say that again.

"Mr. President, if a prescription drug costs $100 and you reduce it by 50%, it costs $50. If you reduce it by 90%, it's $10. If you reduce it 100%, it costs nothing. Could you please tell me what a $100 prescription drug reduced by 1,500% costs, because I can't figure that out?"

At a recent Republican dinner, Trump said, “We’re gonna get the drug prices down. Not 30% or 40%, which would be great. Not 50% or 60%. No, we’re gonna get them down 1,000%, 600%, 500%, 1,500%. Numbers that are not even thought to be achievable.”

The reason they’re not achievable is due to basic math, which our President apparently doesn’t understand. Reducing drug prices by 100% would make them free.

But don’t worry, MAGA is sure that our economy, health, national defense, and environment are in the capable hands of a stable genius with a really big brain.
