And yes, I know for a fact this is true. If Trump tries to bypass BLS and release fake numbers, I guarantee multiple whistleblowers will come forward immediately telling the truth. He will not be able to get away with putting out fake numbers and have them believed. His only real option to avoid bad data from being released is to suspend all statistical data releases indefinitely.
