1. We had an August hurricane here on Friday, the 13th, 2004. A Cat 4 and we still talk about it to this day.

It came across a barrier island, Cayo Costa, and headed up north. We don’t forget these things and Charley coming on a Friday, the 13th, was a horror show, for sure. Stay safe over there..a couple more months of this season to go 🌺

2. Hate this time of year. Cat 4 Harvey hit just north of us Aug 25 2017

Since it made landfall just north, the 130 mph west winds blew the water out of the bay and across the island. Lots of houses got saltwater in them, some 3-4’.

3. My Texas relatives talk about Harvey..pre Harvey, post Harvey in their conversations.

The only good hurricanes are the ones who spin themselves out before they can get to us. Been quiet so far..🤞
