OMG!! -One of Israel's most popular podcasts

Krystal Ball of “Breaking Points”

"People enjoy knowing that they are suffering"
This should put to bed the idea Israelis just don't know about Palestinian suffering. They know and many celebrate it. The dehumanization of Palestinians is so deep.

Some support their government's actions and others do not. Like in the U.S.

And in my opinion the U.S. government's actions at our southern border and throughout the nation, combined with ripping away USAID, which has caused the death of millions in Africa, is a larger scale atrocity than Israel's.

I'm disgusted by the way some people ignore what the U.S. is doing and do nothing but complain about Israel.

Two Nice Jewish Boys

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Two_Nice_Jewish_Boys

Two Nice Jewish Boys is a weekly Israeli English-language podcast. It is hosted by Naor Meningher and Eytan Weinstein. The podcast is about Israeli life, society, and politics, and has hosted a number of prominent guests. The podcast claims to be Israel's longest-running English-language podcast.

History

Two Nice Jewish Boys was established in 2016 by Naor Meningher and Eytan Weinstein. Meningher, an independent film maker who grew up in Israel, and Weinstein, who moved to Israel from Birmingham, Alabama around 2007, met at Tel Aviv University's Steve Tisch School of Film and Television. Speaking to The Jerusalem Post in 2017, Meningher stated that his motivation to start the podcast were "Zionism and his love for Israel"; Weinstein felt that an English-language podcast would benefit people who had recently moved to Israel. Both said that Two Nice Jewish Boys was also aimed at the Jewish community outside Israel. Since 2017, the podcast has been hosted on The Jewish Journal.

The success of Two Nice Jewish Boys, which is self-funded, led to the creation of The Melting Podcast, which is hosted by Meningher and published by the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation, in 2017. The Melting Podcast is likewise aimed at English-speaking immigrants to Israel.

The podcast has hosted a number of high-profile guests, including Michael Oren, Dan Shechtman, Chaim Topol, Ania Bukstein, Tamar Zandberg, Robert Aumann, Deborah Lipstadt, Uri Geller, and Moshe Koppel.

2024 comments on the Gaza war

In September 2024, Two Nice Jewish Boys drew criticism for an episode about the Gaza war. In the episode Weinstein stated that if he was given "a button to just erase Gaza", he "would press it in a second", and claimed that this reflected the feelings of Israelis in general. The clip was later set to private. In an online argument, Weinstein denied that this was a call for genocide, and called his statement a "hypothetical". Around the same time, X removed a tweet from the podcast's account calling for the destruction of Gaza.

But according to a recent poll by Haaretz 80% of Israelis approved of what their government is doing in Gaza while 18% think they are not being harsh enough and only 2% think that the Israeli government has gone too far. That says a lot about Israeli society. They overwhelmingly loved the idea of genociding the Palestinians. That's the reality. Don't try to pretend this is just the fault of Netanyahu. The Israeli public overwhelmingly supports him.

I'm not defending her at all - but you say it was shortly after the October 7th atrocities. Not many Jewish people were thinking rationally about Palestinians back then considering the anguish they were feeling. Hate begets hate. Think honestly, how would you feel if your child was in the middle of the horrendous attack on innocents that day.

Palestinians have a deep hatred for Jews. My grandfather who traveled to the US through Palestine at the turn of the century (the last one) warned me about Palestinians when I was a child... "They have curved swords and will cut your head off." This is NOT an new conflict. Israel was not a nation back then - it didn't exist. So what was the excuse?

is not against the Koran - or at least some Hadiths.

Can you cite where stuff like that is against the Koran and Torah?
Your logic makes no sense to me, so can you explain?

Islamic anti-Semitism begins, as do all things in Islam, with the Koran—the immutable, infallible, timeless words of Allah dictated to the Prophet—in which Jews are cursed with “abasement and humiliation” and are “deserving of Allah’s wrath” because they rejected Mohammed. Jews are further characterized as corrupt, treacherous rebels and infidels whose destiny is to be the enemy of the true believers. The debased status of Jews is communicated most starkly in the Koranic verse (5:60) referring to their transformation into “apes” or “apes and swine,” a motif repeated in the early Muslim biographies of Mohammed: just before he executed the adult males of the Banu Qurayza, a Medinan Jewish tribe, Mohammed called them “brothers of apes” or, in another version, “brothers of monkeys and pigs.” This odious phrase recurs repeatedly in Muslim writings right up to the present: in a 2002 radio broadcast, Sudanese dictator Omar al-Bashir called for jihad against the Jews, “those apes, pigs, and worshipers of calves.” And Muhammad Sayyid Tantawi, grand imam of Al-Azhar University, the most prestigious center of Muslim learning and theology, likewise has called Jews the “descendants of apes and pigs.” As the Tantawi example shows, such characterizations of Jews are not limited to fringe writers or marginalized extremists, as they are with present-day Christian anti-Semitism.

https://www.city-journal.org/article/islam-without-apologetics

This,of course, does not refer to all those of the Muslim faith, but I believe Hamas follows it. Just as Netanyahu supports the extremist West Bank settlers in the belief that God gave them the land and Ultra Orthodox right wing in Israel.

There are those of bad faith on both sides - that's why there's a war. But please don't believe that it is only some Jews who compare Muslims as animals - it goes both ways.

Killing people at a concert is wrong a nd killing people getting food is wrong. If you think it's right that's ok I don't care. Moving people off their land is wrong. If you think all this is good than im very sorry for us all.

58. In the Koran, Jews and Christians are "People of the Book" along with Muslims.

And there is about as much inerrancy in the Koran as there is in the Bible.
Opinions and Laws in the Koran are not consistent about how Jews and Christians (and other Muslims) are to be welcomed as co-religionists or as Heretics; it all depends on the version/translation the local Imam has (and is preaching from), and what the local attitudes are about constitutes tribal members, co-residence, and strangers.
Muslims, like Jews and Christians, living in more diverse cities like Cairo, Beruit, Jerusalem, Marrikesh, Jakarta, New York - see religious situations and requirements far differently than isolated rural or tribal Muslims who are only exposed to "outsiders are going to take your traditions away from you when they outstay their guest status" way of thinking.
