Former youth pastor pleads guilty to sexual assault of child more than 20 years ago, Wisconsin DOJ announces

MADISON, Wis. (WBAY) - A former youth pastor entered a guilty plea in Wood County court on Thursday to a charge of Repeated Sexual Assault of Same Child.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Friday that the case stemmed from a report sent through the Wisconsin DOJ’s Clergy and Faith Leader Abuse Initiative.

Former youth pastor James Lane, 53, pleaded guilty to repeatedly assaulting the victim between September 1, 2002, and December 31, 2003.

Lane, then a youth pastor at Faith Reformed Church located in the City of Wisconsin Rapids, admitted to assaulting the victim in Lane’s vehicle when he was driving the victim home.

According to the DOJ, victim in this case had not reported the assault to either church or legal authorities prior to reporting through the website for the Wisconsin DOJ Clergy and Faith Leader Abuse Initiative.

I thought that we left all of these idiotic beliefs behind in the 70s/80s. Seems like this sort of bigotry, every slight against all others is magnified these days 100-fold under tRUMP and his thugs.

Keep the faith, keep an eye on your surroundings, be alert, travel in groups, keep others in the loop about your where-abouts. And one thing to remember, society today is a much safer place for gays, for the most part, than in times past. If anything, current anti-gay rhetoric and other sorts of anti-you name it hate speech keeps these hateful thugs in check.

That's one thing that tRUMP is known for, that his policies and such are only for those that fit into his very small worldview. A very small-minded worldview.

I remember the fear when we had the police and such invade our local gay/metro/everyone is welcome bar, it's a scary feeling, believe me, but we all lived through it, we all survived, and hope prevailed.

More power to us, the true silent majority in this Country.
