Liev Schreiber Says Trans Daughter Kai Is a 'Fighter' Who Is 'as Feisty and Outspoken as They Come'
Schreiber, 57, spoke to Variety about his 16-year-old daughter in an interview published on Thursday, May 8, a day before the Ali Forney Center’s A Place at the Table Gala in New York City, which Schreiber will attend with his wife, Taylor Neisen, and Kai.
“Kai was always who Kai is," the actor said. “But I suppose the most profound moment was her asking us to change her pronouns. To be honest with you, it didn’t feel like that big of a deal to me only because Kai had been so feminine for so long.”
Schreiber shares Kai with ex-partner Naomi Watts. The couple separated in 2016, and both have since married – Watts to Billy Crudup and Schreiber to Neisen.
