27 grievances listed after the preamble. We went to war to correct those wrongs. We later wrote those corrections into the constitution as well as in many state and federal laws.

The Declaration of Independence stunned not only King George, but shocked the world. A world mostly ruled by monarchies at the time. So much was sacrificed for our freedoms. Are we going to give it all away?

Is getting bad press he never deserved. The UK was a constitutional monarchy long before the Revolutionary War and the gripe was against parliament, not the slightly addled and porphrytic monarch.
