Cognitive Decline? Trump Is Now Making up Protests in His Support (The New Republic)Donald Trump gave a completely incoherent response to a question about his crackdown on Harvard University and ended up ranting about fictional riots.
During a phone interview with NewsNation Wednesday, Stephen A. Smith, the firebrand sports pundit turned political commentator, asked the president to expand on a comment he’d made about Harvard University, which has seen $2.2 billion in government grants frozen by the current administration.
Smith asked Trump what he would say to those who view his attacks against the Ivy League school as “an attack on academic freedom, rather than a defense of fairness.”
“Well, I say this. We had riots in Harlem, in Harlem, and frankly if you look at what’s gone on—and people from Harlem went up and they protested, Stephen, and they protested very strongly against Harvard. They happened to be on my side,” Trump said.

OP
Maybe we need a requirement that presidential candidates must be able to speak fluent English.

People in Harlem are on Trump's side?
What is he on about?

I heard this response and like most of what flows from his pie hole left me speechless, aghast with almost no response to his crap. He literally will say anything, but it doesn’t matter he will just say something as absurd 15 minutes from now and we really have very little media holding him to account.

(2,633 posts)8. My opinion: I think some of his aides are using AI on him
They are showing him doctored photos (MS13 tattoos) and completely made up headlines / videos / images to reinforce his narrative. He's so dumb that he takes everything as literal.
So they probably used AI to create a short video of a pro-Trump protest in Harlem and he believed it without a second thought. He lives in a bubble now.
Dangerous stuff.

Who knows how many of Trump's aides are following Putin's orders.
Trump is the American who is most easily manipulated.

are thinking about protesting.
What a comedy of errors.
Every day is a new exercise in personal restraint.
