I know we all feel like we won one this morning

and I am all for celebrating when Dems stand up and trump backs down, but here is a tweet from Karoline Leavitt (Press Secretary) this morning:

"This is NOT a rescission of the federal funding freeze. It is simply a rescission of the OMB memo."

So, the fight is far from over and many, many programs Americans count on remain at risk.

If you were one of the many people who called their reps yesterday, keep up the pressure!

Pick one strategy and get everyone behind it.

Maybe we should review some Sun Tzu philosophy

If you are strong, appear weak. But if you are weak, appear strong.

is the point. They want us and the media to back off, but since they're never clear about what they're doing, it will not be clear when they have really backed off. But in this case, the Press Secretary is spelling it out. Programs that help people are still under attack.

This time it will stick.
Things have to make sense to me and those with the power behind the throne didn't get where they are by leaving loose canons in charge of implementing policy. They backed him to get their hands on the government and they have their guy Vance ready and willing to fill the void as the figurehead. They also no longer need the trump cult which will become a liability. With the behind the scenes backing I could see getting enough votes to impeach.
That does not mean we are out of the woods and it may get significantly worse. The Heritage Foundation, the Federalist Society, the Billionaires, the Religious Nationalist have been planning this for decades and all mean to get what they want. That is not going to change.
I don't see them tolerating his buffoonery, along with his mental decline, much longer as he has outlived his usefulness to them.
