Would you like to hear Kamala Harris, Joe Biden or even Barack Obama say these very words spoken by Letitia James?

"This administration's pause on federal funding is reckless and dangerous. Programs in communities across the entire nation depend on this funding to support our families, and this action is only going to hurt them."

This is what Letitia James said in a press conderence yesterday, announcing she was taken the Trump administration to court over the funding freeze. It is a clear and simple message. I would like to see a similarly simple message spoken by all Democratic lawmakers and leaders, past and present. Our nation is being dismantled and it's time to hear from those that we have previously put our trust in and who are in a position to be heard.

He never stopped criticizing Biden (and the news lapped it up, along with his demented followers). Of course, Biden would be treated with a double standard if he did anything of the sort.

There is no fairly permanent "Democratic Policy Institute" like the GOP has with its Hoover Institute (which sucks)
https://www.democraticunderground.com/100219825280#!

Main reason being that former party leaders have not formed a united front against the well-organized and funded GOP hate and lie machine, with massive media ownership.

The leaders club should stand above primary battles, allowing young people to express a diversity of opinion that is in addition to the party foundation, so they aren't asked to "cover all the bases".

They are far from mute. The info may be buried under garbage in the news, but it's there, and it's on DU. I understand Rachel Maddow is also doing a daily synopsis of actions by Democrats.

But we'll have to do with Wes Moore.

https://governor.maryland.gov/news/press/pages/governor-wes-moore-statement-on-trumpvance-administrations-freeze-on-federal-funding.aspx

"We are still evaluating what, exactly, this ideological freeze would mean for our state and our people in the long-run. But one thing is already clear: These irresponsible actions and conflicting directives from the White House have caused unnecessary confusion, fear amongst Marylanders, and instability in our economy.

"The Trump-Vance Administration is trying to hold back money that has already been approved by Congress. These actions could potentially cost jobs, raise prices, and stifle economic growth in Maryland. What’s more, these resources are intended for programs at places like Maryland schools, Maryland hospitals, and Maryland nonprofits – touching our first responders, seniors, and Marylanders from the Western Mountains to the Eastern Shore and everywhere in between."

"This is not what responsible government looks like – it’s chaos."

Neither Biden nor Harris is willing to step into the ring with Trump and his MAGAt mob.

Which is a big part of the reason for our loss.

I’d love to see the three of them hold a joint press conference where they outline an active plan of resistance for themselves and a vigorous plan of resistance pathways they’ed like us to pursue. Updated weekly where they discuss results and plan adjustments.

Many Democrats in power have spoken out against the move, including Jeffries and Schumer, Pritzker, Hochul, Coons, Crockett, etc.

Imagine the good that could be done if instead of constantly criticizing Democrats, that time and effort was actually put towards pushing back against Republicans and their propaganda?
