Pete Hegseth needs all the masculine Christian holy warrior boys he can get for the coming crusade.

MF47 is well into boundary-pushing phase of authoritarian attempt.
He will try whatever he thinks he can get away with.

And something that disrupts the lives of so many people would be challenged as quickly as his attempt to redefine birthright citizenship, or pausing federal funding.

Not to mention, the current military is not set up to immediately mobilize to train all those conscripted.

He will just ignore the law, probably declare martial law, throw out Posse Comitatus, suspend the Constitution, and use the military to crack down on the American public. Dark times.

...19 year olds have the education and the physical requirements the military needs. A good economy is always a head wind for recruitment but the pool to draw from is just demographically getting smaller as well.

And this isn't the Vietnam era where most who avoided the draft fled to Canada. They will flee to Canada, Mexico, Europe, Asia, etc. It will also create a huge brain drain on the country.

Not to mention, it will tank morale, hard. First shots in a fire fight, many will flee or disobey orders.

They are throwing shit against the wall because "it feels right with their gut". But have no comprehension how many other problems it will ultimately create.

Personally, I think they have no clue that they are downgrading our military and setting us up for a large overseas terrorist attack, foreign terror attack on our own soil or worse, an invasion from a hostile country into one our allies.
