This is the headline from an article on the news site Al Arabiya date 01/24/25 and sourcing from Reuters. The other day "The Butcher of Khashoggi" aka Crown Prince MBS had stated that the Saudis would invest $600 billion in the US over the next 4 years. Golly I wonder how much of that will be "coordinated" through companies run by Kushner and Crumb The First himself? Also, like Jethro would tell you, "all that coordinatin' is hard work" and deserves more compensation than just Grannies possum and grits.

(71,385 posts)That number is 45% of the total realized assets of the entire Saudi royal family.
They absolutely can't have that kind of liquidity, so they have to undergo a massive disinvestment in other areas.
How much of that is already in the US?

(6,429 posts)and not Royal Family money per se. There could be a mix.

(71,385 posts)...the entire Saudi government's budget is under $27 billion. That's very low actually. 2.3% of GDP
The GDP is almost dead-on $1 trillion. (Side note: the Saudi royal family is worth 140% of GDP. If an American was thar wealthy they'd be worth $38 trillion! I think we know where all that GDP goes).
If there is governmental money, it's fractional involvement.
Simplest Solution: they made it up.

(6,429 posts)$150 billion per year between the family and the government. Especially believable to me if they are going to become a central conduit for money laundering. I think it's more about the process than the total in any event.

(71,385 posts)45% is 45%. The actual dollars are not really relevant.
Not matter how the overall fortune is distributed, each fraction still has to give up 45%
