(1,631 posts)...I have healthcare from my state pension but I use VA because I like it better than my BCBS. I am worried about other vets who only have VA and active duty folks that are gonna be forced into private healthcare thru TriCare.

(7,591 posts)When I was active duty, I would have loved if they would have allowed me to go to private doctors through TriCare. We used TriCare (CHAMPUS at the beginning, later became TriCare) for wife & daughters so that they didn't have to use the base for medical care. Scraped to pay for a supplemental that picked up what TriCare didn't.

(261 posts)and I get my medical care from the Navy in San Diego. I can see him cutting medical benefits so only active duty members get seen on base and family members and retirees will have to see either a civilian provider and have to buy health insurance at a price 10X what their paying now.

I'm not worried about it. If a person is on SNAP or Medicaid or ACA they should be concerned.

(61,099 posts)I hate the thought of them hanging trump's pic in the lobby again. But that is a minor inconvenience. As a Level 7, I suspect my co-pays will rise and treatments might get delayed, but we'll see I guess.
Don't blame me, I voted for Her.
