I guess we'll put up deer fencing this Spring and re-establish our garden.
My next door neighbor used the produce from his garden the entire year.
His wife did complain bitterly during canning season - but it was a "fond" complaint.

I miss you Elmer and June!

Some grow microgreens in their apartments. I have been researching growing these. I am also going to do some sprouts. If you can grow these they at least are good for salads and are nutritious.

It is easier to grow in apt if you get some good natural light.

Some churches have farm share programs that bring in produce from nearby farms. These may be worth looking into even when things get scarce.

Those hard working immigrants tend to get paid by the bushel/quantity and not by the hour I think. If Americans take the jobs, and that's a big IF, cost will go thru the roof.

Yep, better plant those gardens.

places around here where school attendance is way down.

The slim silver lining in this story is that rural regions, who voted hard for the felon, are now going to be ruined by him. Good.

Our only hope is that the fallout from his shit is so bad in these early days that his followers turn against him.

These people have a miserable disposition.
Their lives are unhappy, marriages unhappy, kids unhappy...lots of misery for no reason.

They lack gratefulness. I live in a rural area, they wouldn't kill you but they will always blame unhappiness on everything but themselves.

It brings me to a scientific study that believes the differences between Liberals and Conservatives is biological. When they did brain scans they found differences between the two political differences, but similarities within the groups.

These people are not easily taught to see things from different perspectives, and this is why they do not understand sarcasm well or dry humor.

They will only join us, if they have no other route.

I'm a huge fan of the MasterClass series by Chris Voss, The Art of Negotiation. Mr. Voss was the lead international kidnapping negotiator for the FBI, as well as the FBI's hostage negotiation representative for the National Security Council's Hostage Working Group.

He focuses on the amygdala, a tiny portion of the brain about the size of a peanut, and is the part of the brain that generates fear in reaction to threats.

One study found that compared to liberals, conservatives tend to have larger amygdalas and smaller anterior cingulate cortexes, which are involved in error detection, impulse control and emotional regulation.

These findings spurred headlines in 2011 like “Conservatives Big on Fear, Brain Study Finds” and “Conservatives Are Scaredy Cats."

The brain scans of each group were different from eachother but same lighting in same regions for people belonging to that group.

I'll try and find it.

Wait outside any Tyson or Smithfield slaughter houses. (They call them processing plants but the name ain't fooling anyone.)

They should check out Margo-Load-O and any place with a Trump logo. That's mostly what the Nazi dictator uses is undocumented workers.
