Number of TN legislators subpoenaed for upcoming corruption trial involving former House Speaker

Shithole red TN, always a disgrace!

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Nashville attorney has confirmed to WSMV4 that several Tennessee state legislators have recently been subpoenaed in connection to an upcoming corruption trial involving former House Speaker Glen Casada and his ex-Chief of Staff Cade Cothren.

The duo were indicted in August 2022 on multiple charges including theft from programs receiving federal funds, bribery and kickbacks involving programs receiving federal funds, wire fraud, and conspiracy to commit fraud. They pled not guilty to the charges.

“We look forward to getting past all the storytelling to lobbyists and journalists over the past two years so they can finally tell the truth under oath – that Mr. Cothren delivered the high-quality product that they paid for, and the State of Tennessee didn’t lose a single dollar.”

Nothing more at link, other than to state that House Majority Leader William Lamberth is among those subpoenaed.
