Israeli government approves Gaza ceasefire and hostage deal, paving way for Sunday implementation

Israel’s government has approved a ceasefire and hostage deal, paving the way for the agreement to come into effect on Sunday, according to a statement from the prime minister’s office.

The Government has approved the framework for the return of the hostages. The framework for the hostages’ release will come into effect on Sunday, January 19, 2025. Shabbat Shalom.

Statement from the Israeli Prime Minister's Office.

The 33-member group of ministers approved the agreement following a recommendation earlier Friday by the smaller security cabinet. Deliberations stretched over seven hours, late into the night on Friday into early Saturday morning local time.

Though Israel’s Supreme Court will still hear appeals by any Israelis opposing freedom for any Palestinian prisoners slated for release, that process is not expected to stand in the way of the ceasefire coming into force on Sunday.

The cabinet took the unusual step of meeting on the sabbath in order to approve the ceasefire.

4. They've all gone back underground. Vanished off the face of the fucking planet. No protests, no nothing.

Just like that oh-so-vocal anti-drone warfare crowd whose "principles" wouldn't let them vote for Hillary in 2016 all disappeared right after the election even though Donnie conducted more drone strikes in four years than Obama and Bush combined...

But don't worry -- They'll be back and resurface in 2028 with a brand new "cause" that justify them not supporting the Dem nominee... And if they can't find one they'll just lean on the tried-and-true "DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS ARE THE SAME SO SEND A MESSAGE BY STAYING HOME OR WRITING IN KANYE WEST!!" And the useful idiots will dutifully join them as always...

5. It's a tragedy to see how many times a good man like Biden was betrayed in the span of 10 months.

And in spite of it all, he kept working to the end because it's important to him personally to show Americans how a decent, professional, and most of all HONORABLE public servant conducts his office for what could be the last time.

Just like Obama, Biden had absolutely ZERO fucking criminal indictments, which used to be the bare minimum we expected from the presidency... But that wasn't good enough since the people and the media were desperate like meth addicts who hadn't had a hit in four years to get their clown and his circus back in power, and that's what they got.
