Republicans: We're going to eliminate taxes from tips! Cool, right? But, we're going to make scholarships taxable income

We're also going to going to eliminate head of household filing status, the American opportunity credit and lifetime learning credits for getting higher education, getting rid of a deduction for donating to patient advocacy groups, eliminating the deduction for childcare, it miiiight become more expensive for parking when we take away your employer's deduction for providing transit and parking passes, and we're also getting rid of the deduction for paying interest on your student loans. Enjoy!

The servers around here make huge tips, and the rest of the staff makes crap, yet the ones not making any real cash get taxed?

I typically tip higher because of taxes. I don’t want the tip decimated. If they’re not taxed I guess I can stop tipping so much?

There's a smartassed pundit typing out another lazy hot take about how Dems have "lost touch" with the working class 😒

I don't get it -- Do working class white folks really hate social safety nets that much? 🤔

The only reason they’re pushing “no taxes on tips” is so the rich can bribe politicians. Not only will the bribe be legal, it won’t even be taxed either.
