"Det finnes ikke dårlig vær, bare dårlig klær." I love this approach to cold weather.

"There is no bad weather, only bad clothing." Vi har de beste klærne for dårlig vær. Minnesotans would do the ceremony outside because we aren't a bunch of warm-weather wimps and we have good clothing. We also say that our bad weather keeps out the riff-raff. (I walk a couple of miles every day no matter how cold it gets, just trying to keep my tired old carcass from deteriorating any faster; I dress like I'm on an expedition to Antarctica and it's no big deal. When I get back I have to cool off.)

Of course Trump will keep his ugly orange ass warm inside while his cult members shiver in the cold, but he'll love it that they're suffering for him.

Perhaps the phrase got ‘culturally appropriated’ in the region.

Where is his scarf? Ears shouldn't be exposed. Jacket not nearly puffy enough.
I guess that's the photo they had, and he wasn't really going to a day long event in the cold
but that was my first reaction

Walz is overdressed for that temperature; hoodie and baseball cap are plenty of clothes.

While DC suffers through below freezing temperatures and moves inside, the high in MN will be -6. Walz will probably be dressed like in that picture, though he may pull the hat down to cover the ears

Obama's was in the teens with windchill
Though I'm sure Tim Walz and other Minnesotans could tough it out with what he's wearing.
Not me.

but they don't mind the jokes when they hold the keys - - other than to have a target for retaliation with physical or legislative violence. These are not statesman. They are thugs with money.

We have to bring more than jokes. They need to be kicked in the teeth in jail. Then I will laugh.
