What risk do you think of him turning over names of anyone who has ever been critical of MAGA to the new regime? Including before he owned it?

(377 posts)With that. He's an idiot frankly he can't even run his website efficiently. It can't even handle a live stream. Can we stop pretending this guy is a "genius"?
It would too much of an undertaking and not really doable anyway.

(106,053 posts)--without an account. I don't think Musk has closed it down even sans any posting. Long defunct email used to register...
Not to add to the paranoia, but I'm likewise glad I went through the hoops to become a confidential voter that can't be tracked that way.
Now, we need to work with EarlG and Elad to make sure that our identifying info here cannot be hacked and traced to archived or recent comments.
Paranoia isn't outrageous when malintent has been advertised.

(411 posts)Most accounts are real names, you don't have to look too hard. And for the fake names, there are 3rd party services that for a nominal fee give you the real name. You're not nearly as anonymous as you think you are on Twitter.

(856 posts)Given the close coordination between prior Twitter ownership and government experts fighting against MAGAT & Russian disinformation, you can clearly see which way the wind is blowing and what TSF & Musk's intent is:
imprison people fighting against disinformation
They will also imprison scientists, block masks and vaccines, and allow further Russian incursion.
We must double our resolve to protect Ukraine and Democracy. Biden and Harris must use their final days in office to create as much protection for science, women's health, and real information as possible.

At one point, didn't he threaten to release the DMs (direct messages, private messages) of someone or some people on that platform?
