1. Go to your state board of elections online

Check your voter status , should be a link to your ballot and whether it was accepted

.... first place to check might be early voters. If you did not run your completed ballot through the counting machine make sure your vote was recorded and added to the totals.

Most states have a data base where you can check that your ballot was properly received, not flawed, and posted to the total vote. In the event there was a defective ballot you have a chance to remedy the problem so your vote counts.
