A sports metaphor,

I had a football coach,45 years ago, we were ahead by 30, at halftime. We , expected a fun, halftime talk.
Coach reamed us, told us, " you all are slowing down, you are relaxing, you NEVER relax, until, the game, is over."
He was right, we, ended up winning by 17,
Never, take your foot off the gas
And, I learned more life lessons, when I lost, not only in sports, but life, (MrsK,and LilBit gone)

You just play the game, as hard as you can, until, the final whistle.
