We like to make things simple, but they tend to be much more complicated. This is one of those things.

But Harris was tied to the perceived economic horrors, she was seen as the incumbent. Vote for the person who isn't that is how it works. To take your approach (which I agree with), takes thinking.

You know: Trump's a very successful businessman and we did not have inflation when
he was President. It is that simple to them.

They think Trump is going to lower them.

No, it doesn't make sense, but this is a common theme across the country. Trump will make things the way they were.

But, his supporters have never been logical.

Nothing about their support has ever made any rational sense.

They think a guy with a literal gold toilet is a voice for the underclass.

I mean...once we accept that they believe that, everything else kind of makes sense, in a twisted way.

I read a study recently that said that Trump voters are more likely to believe a false story *after* they are provided with proof that it's false than before they knew it was false.

That, in a nutshell, is Trumpism. It's instinctive. It's like a lizard-brain defense mechanism in action.

He doesn't care about lowering grocery prices. He cares about helping CEOs pocket more money.

Trump would have beaten any male Democrat as well. And Nicky Haley would have
won in a landslide. It is important that we understand what actually happened.
Of course, sexism played a role, but economics defined the day.

Economics is the excuse. The real reason .... In general, American men are just so colossally insecure that they prefer a no class, dictatorial, moron over a smart, competent woman of color.

Biden got millions more votes in 2020. Trump got a similar number of votes in 2020 and 2024. But Biden had millions more in 2020.

Not sure if Biden would have narrowed it down. He may have, if he had a good second debate.

Constantly interrupting and refusing to let her make her point. Damn him when he does that. He needs to be "slapped down" by someone who has a say in his contract--preferably a senior FEMALE executive and be made to watch hours of examples of his behavior because she is not the only one.
