Unfortunately I can't cite you a source because it's been many years when I ran across authoritative information (possibly from the government) that said military pensions are set up in a way that politicians can't meddle with them the way they can Social Security.

It's possible, though, that if we're talking about a fascist takeover of our government, and a heartless prick like Elon Musk overseeing these cuts, then even military pensions might be fair game. Only time will tell. But if they do go after Social Security there's at least a chance they won't go after military pensions. Again, only time will tell.

Also, let's be honest ... the tech sector has been quietly collapsing for a while now, with the only thing keeping it propped up is the big companies decimating their workforces in order to goose dividend checks.
