If this makes anyone feel better. In 5 years Trump will be gone from office, maybe dead and not in our thoughts anymore

I mean, how often do we think about Obama or Bush? It's going to be a long 4 years however. Also, the pressure is always on those in power. Every time they fuck up they will be taking heat and I have a feeling they will be fucking up a lot. I just hope they don't ruin my retirement money among other things or turn us into Russia but I think this will be difficult. At least the two oldest Supreme Court justices are the most conservative. It would have been nice to replace them from our side but at least he won't be making the court any worse than it already is and you never know, there could be a Justice David Souter type who squeaks in. Could happen.

If his pre-election personality holds, he’s toast… less popular than an STD

I hope there is a cadre of pro-democracy and freedom attorneys out there ready to challenge the frivolous and revengeful law suits headed our way.

Best hope is that he dies.

Putin never really leaves office. He holds sham elections. I think that will happen to us. Meanwhile, Trump is now free to utterly decimate our institutions and democracy.

Something TSF is completely incapable of. We’re going to hear about him every single day for the rest of his miserable existence. And then we’re probably gonna get Jr. unless hits heart explodes prematurely from all the coke in his system.

To me he's in the final stages of life already - dementia and incontinence are the most obvious signs. And he just looks horrible. In fact I can't even picture him living 6 more months.

But Dr. Gupta said he had heart disease back in 2018 and that was 6 years ago. My dad had no heart issues. Trump could go at any minute.

He looks horrible and when he missed that garbage truck handle it looked like his left side was partially numb. Maybe just the way he tried to grab the handle.

Stalinist PCF boss Georges Marchais was once asked if, once elected, he would relinquish power if he were subsequently voted out. He replied, "Why would anyone ever vote us out?"

And, attributed to Stalin, himself: "Those who cast the votes decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything."

Stalinists do not voluntarily relinquish power. Nor do their Republican soul brothers. Not any more, it would seem. This will get ugly.
