The plight of their people is their choice, right now we do live in a free society. That said, I truly feel for what they are going through in Gaza, and I pray for them daily and other terrible issues around the world and home.

and voting 3rd party helped elect him. Protesting Trump's opponent who has Jews, Arabs and Muslims in her coalition and not protesting Trump at all, has led to the worst nightmare for Palestinians and Americans.

I can't do anything about Gaza. Any person with a half a brain would know that Harris was a better bet for Palestinians than Trump. I feel for the people of Gaza, but like the half-wits in America who elected Trump, they elected Hamas in the first place to represent them.

As I said in another post, I protested the Trump Muslim ban at Logan Airport in his first term. If the same thing happens again (and he's already stated he wants to ban entry for people from "terrorist" countries) my answer is:

I don't give a fuck, You're on your own.

More like acknowledging reality. There is no help for people who vote directly against their self-interests. And I have nothing - nothing - to spare for a population who could have kept our country from going into the fire and refused, because they had to make a statement about not getting everything they want. Fuck them. They're on their own with Trump and Bibi. They are welcome to exactly what they voted for. There are groups in the United States who tried desperately to prevent Trump from getting into office and persecuting them, instead of voting like a toddler with a tantrum. That's who I'm reserving my care for.

An odd way of putting it.

The only thing they asked for was to stop funding the slaughter of their people and enforce international law.

When your basic human rights are ignored or viewed as too much to ask... if it were your people, what would you do?

None of us can answer that question as we've not been in their shoes.

Well, some of us have, through ancestors, and therein lies the bitter irony and great human tragedy.

That's an odd way of putting it.

They didn't ask, they demanded. And the consequence of not meeting their demands is the exact opposite of what they purportedly "asked for".

A completely idiotic twisting of logic which challenges their affinity to basic human rights or international law.

Questioning Netanyahu’s endless campaign of deliberate child murder is how you get accused of being a pro-Hamas, pro- Hezbollah antisemite.

How are you today Malaise? I'm sure you've been on DU and...well.

Still wondering about life in Jamaica. That's my pipe dream, just somewhere that's warm and has a functioning democracy.

Anyway.

Now they will have a conman whose is more likely to be interested in pushing them out of their homeland for real estate development. Unless other world leaders step up to the plate soon, Gaza and the Palestinians who are trying to hang on there will be history.

Biden now has nothing to lose. He should cut off all aid until Netanyahu agrees to get out of Gaza and stop his wars. Bibi would still refuse because he knows Trump will give him whatever he wants, but such an action might encourage other countries to take action as well.

is going to feel he owes people who didn't vote for VP Harris any favors. He will do nothing like what you suggest because it would be pointless. In 3 months, bibi will have a free hand and nobody in DC to stop or scold him.
