He's not wrong.

https://rudepundit.blogspot.com/2024/11/america-is-floating-island-of-garbage.html

At the end of the day, a majority of Americans wanted Donald Trump to be president, and they didn't give a damn about anything else. They hate what he hates. They want to see retribution agains the imagined foes he's conjured. They did this even with everything they knew about him and his extravagant criminality and treason. They simply didn't believe it or they liked it. His voters might have been misinformed about a lot of things, but they know who Trump is, and they're completely fine with it. Where we see a rapist and a felon and a coup leader, they see a Tony Soprano-like antihero. Where we saw a competent and accomplished Democratic candidate, they saw a communist harridan who will force schools to give sex changes to children and let Venezuelans take over towns out west. You laugh, but they hold this as true. God, they want to punish immigrants and women and trans people so fucking badly they can taste it. They want their tears and blood and screams to bathe them.

And let me do this as an address to Trump's voters:
You are so fucking stupid, just the stupidest motherfuckers who ever were allowed to breathe. You're so stupid that you won't even realize how badly you've fucked everything up. Your stupidity is so deep, so ingrained, so far up your deranged asses that you won't even realize it when you become the victim of your own stupid decisions, when prices go up because of tariffs and the lack of workers for farms, when you're fucking drowning in your shitbox homes because nobody did anything to stop climate change, when your town's tax base has been deported, when your factories die because there aren't enough workers, when your daughters and wives die because of no access to the medical care they need, when the rank stupidity you force others to adopt ends up making all of you worthless shit lumps in a ditch, just vessels for algorithm-fed hate lessons on social media on your screens, masturbating into oblivion over the pain of others while ignoring the cries of everyone around you while the world burns. I'd tell you to go fuck yourselves, but you already have and you don't even know it.

Here's the coldest comfort I can offer: none of it would have mattered. I don't know what would have made a difference. This is who we are. This. This is who we are in the damned 21st-century. It's who we've always been. We're a nation founded on genocide and racism, enforced misogyny and absurd delusions of our superiority. It's in our DNA. And now we get to live out the natural and horrific extension of that.

You want me to end this by saying we should fight, by saying we need to regroup and defend those who will need defending (god, there are so many), by saying we're in this together. And maybe I'll get there. But right now, today, all I'm wondering is what, exactly, is worth fighting for.

and I learned not to debate with them, I am not afraid to, it's just pointless. I have a go to thing I say to all of them, I cannot like or vote for someone who raped little girls at Jeffrey Epstein's mansion, and walk away.

They know he's a rapist. They love that he's a rapist. He's a "strong man" who takes what he wants from females, and his fuckheads (both men and women) love him for it.

And when you get right down to it, they don't give a fuck about fact or evidence or logic or reality. They worship their sacred orange prolapse and will continue to do so until the last of them is dead.

those "trans" kids who were in their schools back about 10 years ago. I asked a lot of questions, trying to get information, and only got gibberish in reply. They talked about kids who identified as animals, "furbies" who required litter boxes in the school bathrooms. I called bullshit on that one, but they kept insisting it was a fact.

The more the MSM advertises Trump's multitudinous faults, transgressions, immorality and crimes, the more he appeals to 49% of the electorate, especially men. He says what they'd love to say (and now has given permission for them to say it out loud). He tells them to hate the (ever-growing group of) people he hates, and they enthusiastically jump to hating that group too. After all, it's THEIR (the hated group's) fault that the 49%ers don't have nice things like lower gasoline prices. And they just love the faux masculinity and meaningless bravado the orange anus exudes. "He knows how to talk to them", they think. "He doesn't take any shit from anybody". They delight in watching him flaunt the law and give the middle finger to all the legal processes arrayed against him. "They're persecuting him", they opine.
And his too numerous to count moral failings? Most of his male supporters secretly revel in knowing their savior actually f**ked a porn star. "Wish I could have done that. I would have done it in a heartbeat", they muse.
This pitiful waste of human DNA tapped into a vein of nastiness, misogyny and racism that has only been slightly buried beneath a surface of superficial politeness during the last 20 years skillfully and to great effect. But instead to fighting this facially we opted instead to "take the high road". showing what to the 49% is just one more indication of just how weak and insignificant they see us.

and telling them that they are stupid. And so evil that they would support a convicted rapist and a man who kidnapped children and kept them for 4 years. Only until President Biden came in did they try to find these children's parents or guardians.

They may have won but they don't have to feel good about it.

What is the landscape in the GOP when he’s out of power in 4 years. It seems that Trumpism is almost exclusively about Trump. At this point I can’t see anyone on their bench that is the obvious heir. I’m talking about someone who could inspire thousands of people to storm the Capitol. Nobody’s doing that for JD Vance or Vivek Ramaswamy.

If there’s a faint silver lining this is it but obviously assumes we will have an actual real election in 2028.

I agree.

I don't see ANYBODY on their bench at all with dt's Psychopathy. Having said that, if they vote for this p.o.s., they'll vote for anyone with an R after their name to execute the mandate outlined in their Project 2025 plans:

End same-sex marriage, national ban on abortions, eliminate regulations, and on and on and on. The Heritage Foundation will put people in place who will end everything we believe in.

13. I think a lot of what happens 4 years from now is hard to project.

I’m talking about the impact of his policies. But I’ll take a stab at it. I expect once he takes office there will be a sugar high and he’ll coast off Biden’s economy for a year or so.
Then the policies will start to take effect. People will be paying 30-40 percent more for phones and TVs. I expect food prices will be higher. I expect that the gutting of the FDA will lead to mass health crisis like outbreaks of food borne illnesses that will kill a lot of people.
That’s just the stuff that can be projected now. There will be innumerable crisis beyond those things. But to your point they are absolutely going to implement as many aspects of P2025 as they possibly can. I think many of those will be deeply unpopular. The question for the mid terms and 2028 is how the pendulum will swing? I’m sort of the belief that we’re in a loop and it’s going to swing back and forth from cycle to cycle. I’m not sure we’ll see another 2 term president. That’s not necessarily a good thing. It reflects broad instability of what is a crumbling empire.

and sadly did not understand that Trump's proposed policies would make them cost MORE, Not Less.

He scraped by in 2016 because people didn’t like Hillary Clinton.

In 2020, Joe Biden won because people hated Trump and not necessarily because they liked Joe Biden.

In 2024, on Trump’s 3rd try, people wanted him for the first time rather than voting against someone. People voted for him because they wanted him.

Lots of people of voting age weren't registered to vote, and lots of them who were registered didn't bother, either. The rest didn't vote for Trump, period.

That is not a "majority" of American adults or a "majority" of anything.

No wonder I don't read this guy. He is careless with words. He is totally overrated.

Thu Nov 7, 2024, 12:15 AM

It especially got worse since Reagan and his gop shifting of the tax burden onto the working class. That era also legalized PACs. His increase of social security witholdings to being a flat rate from rhe first dollar with a cap enjoyed only by the well to do has hollowed out America. Bush continued it and T did it even more sadistic where taxes have been going up every odd year hitting during election year. We havent run on bread and butter issues since LBJ. our political and media class dont live in mid America and cant fathom the suffering.

from the 1990s and later zeroed in on why "America went wrong." They were reporters from the Philadelphia Inquirer and examined the movement by the neolibs to completely hollow out the middle class in order to enrich the few.

Younger people should find those books and understand the background of why our country is so screwed up.
