Like others here, I am going to take a politics break, so will spend far less time here

What happened last night simply makes no sense, and I've no idea what comes next. When bullies get away with their bullying, it freaks me out. To realize how big a slice of our populace think that he - and his methods and idiocy and ignorance - are OK is incredibly depressing.

We don't watch TV and I don't seek out political podcasts or videos - DU is it. I will peek in now and then, but need a break so badly.

Fight the good fight, friends. Stay true to our values.

He's an old friend from here who's MIRTed more times than I can count and engaged many of us on various levels. Not to mention a national heirloom tomato treasure.

When he took off unannounced some years back a lot of us wondered and were worried. It's a community thing.

I found Cooking and Baking after W got re-elected. There are Crafts and Gardening plus Netflix/streaming services.

I won't be here much either. Both due to this crushing blow and the damn ovarian cancer I've been fighting this year. I need to focus on healing and getting through my next surgery and round of chemo. Priorities and all that.
