PRESIDENT BIDEN Takes a Bow "The critics said it couldn't happen"

Last edited Wed Sep 18, 2024, 04:24 PM - Edit history (1)

We just reached an important moment: Inflation and interest rates are falling while the economy remains strong.

The critics said it couldn’t happen – but our policies are lowering costs and creating jobs.

I’ll speak tomorrow about what this means for Americans.

Joe Biden flushed ages-old bogus "support the oligarchs" economic theory down the drain.

Truly revolutionary.

it's fun when MAGAts say the economy is crashing and then point out the jobs and stock numbers. Their frustrated attempts to respond to that are pure gold

The economy is getting stronger. It's becoming less of a focus for Republican fear mongering.
Bidenomics is working, and will get stronger over time.

From what I can see, there are a lot of "low information" voters out there who still think the economy is terrible. Things like job numbers and the stock market don't seem to make much of an impression on them.

He inherited a COVID mess. A declining economy, Trump rode the Obama wave for a little while. My stock portfolio sure thanks Biden, huge increase compared to Trump. The whole inflation thing was not his fault, the entire world went through it. The USA had lower inflation than most all countries.

The most important thing is Biden restored honor to the office.

Kennedy had a VERY powerful impact, as I recall. But it only came with him being assassinated about halfway through his term. So much potential, just stopped cold, and left undone. Permanently. It had an impact that still reverberates. And he was still so young. He had decades ahead of him, all that time to try new ideas and plant the seeds of something really amazing. And BANG. It was over in a heartbeat.

Man-oh-man. Talk about short-sheeting the bed…

people still are having trouble paying for housing and food. I believe that is what is making this election so close. Lots of people don't care about inflation or the dow if they can't afford rent and food and don't remember not being able to afford this under trump. They don't think about the tax cuts to the billionaires and the republicans stopping the child tax credits and all the other crap the republicans did and are doing. They just want to be able to afford housing and food.

I’m just sorry that time ran out on him. Makes me wonder what he could have accomplished if he were even just ten years younger. But at least he finally got to the White House! And he laid the groundwork for a woman to win the Presidency, risky as it seemed, to some. But here we are.

He probably would have preferred to retire but he ran in 2020 because he knew he could beat Trump. And he did, and he's done an awesome job. He brought us back from the brink.

His courage and selflessness in passing the baton to Harris is remarkable. At a time when there are too many Trumps, I tell myself every day to be a Biden.
