They are definitely going to whine about this, but it's a good thing. They almost waited too long so they had to be a little more aggressive.

Also, they think they have inflation whipped.

But the strong consumer spending numbers we just got could have tipped it from 25 to 50. People have money and are spending it, that's the engine that drives the economy.

Because it is widely known if he wins the Presidency he will flow all government communications throguh Truth Social. He will even try to make having a Truth Social account necessary to get government services like social security and Medicare. he loses and it's worthless.

It's been going down recently because the insider lockup period is expiring soon and people are figuring that the insiders will dump lots of shares onto the market.

Really has nothing to do with the Fed's decisions.

That was an effort to help the price, but if he knows he will lose the election, he'll start dumping it.

Either way, it was a great investment for him, $1B or more to him for promoting the site, he put none of his own money in.

I know she's a Trumper, she said yesterday when someone was talking about the markets, "Well, it is an election year.." Implying those in power are propping it up to get elected. I laughed and said, "If some politican has figured out a way to make the stock market go up to influence an election, they have super powers and deserve to be in office."

Certain economic data gets all the headlines, but other stuff gets ignored that is really the driver. People are spending money. People are working. People have more money in savings and investments. Companies have great earnings. These are the leading indicators that say the economy is in good shape. August's consumer spending report dazzled.

. . .so his people probably think Biden does. They don't understand how terrible it would be if the fed were actually subject to presidential whim.

DT: "I feel the president should have at least say in there. Yes, I feel that strongly. I think that, in my case, I made a lot of money. I was very successful. And I think I have a better instinct than, in many cases, people that would be on the Federal Reserve or the chairman."

You seem to not understand that this rate cut is a good thing. President Biden appears to have achieve a "soft landing" which is a goo thing.

I am amused that the markets are rejecting TFG's predictions of a crash and we need to be thanking President Biden
