Politico: “After several cycles of ceding ground to Republicans, Democrats believe their top-of-the-ticket energy could power a major comeback in states like Michigan, Wisconsin and Iowa. And it’s not just talk — they’re investing millions in the red-tinted turf.”

“As new polling comes in, Democrats are increasingly directing money and manpower toward targets like Michigan’s 10th, Wisconsin’s 3rd and Iowa’s 1st and 3rd. Those were considered ‘reach’ seats even just a few weeks ago — Donald Trump won them by between 0 and 5 points in 2020 — and flat-out unwinnable this spring.”

who owes his seat to the disgusting racist gerrymandering perpetrated upon Nashville, will have his re-election bid scuttled by revelation of his extramarital affair and abandonment of his wife of 30-some years.

"This week, Camilla Green, the wife of Republican Rep. Mark Green, texted a group of Congress members to warn them against the evils of politics, accusing Green of being corrupted by D.C. and having an affair with a woman 27 years younger than him.

The scandal, which comes less than a month after he filed for divorce, raises questions about the Tennessee Congressman’s brand as a pro-family conservative, including from his own daughter.
....
According to Catherine, the affair began last fall, and the family became aware around January when her brother found a letter from the woman on Rep. Green’s desk. He initially denied the affair until the family found “additional evidence” at their Montgomery Co. home.

“Over the last year and a half, two years, we’ve really noticed a difference in him. So who knows if that’s just the toxic environment that is D.C., but something has changed,” Catherine said. “We’ve all had to basically grieve the loss of the person that we thought was our father.”

Catherine described her father as increasingly “self-centered” and aloof, noting a lack of communication and disinterest in family activities over Christmas."...(more)

John McCain kicked his first wife to the curb for a millionaire heiress. After she loyally waited for his return from Viet Nam. She had the misfortune of being disfigured by a car wreck. So he dumped her for the rich drug-thief.

They didn't care then, and probably won't care about this now.

Nashville is a great, progressive city, but Republican 'lawmakers' crushed its influence by dividing it into three congressional districts, each district covering large areas that vote Republican.
That being said, Clarksville is also in Green's district, and Clarksville is no sleepy hick town. I hope Megan Barry succeeds in replacing him!
