Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine says he is sending state troopers to schools in the Springfield, Ohio area starting Tuesday, as the community faces repeated threats amid false claims about Haitian immigrants there.
"We want parents...to feel that it's very, very safe for them to send their children to school," DeWine tells CBS's Nikole Killian.

(823 posts)How posting troopers in the school (see my reply, "Wow! this is alarming:" to https://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=19471936) will deter bomb threats made over the phone, social media or emails defies rational thinking! Children and parents will still feel terrorized and probably more so if the threats continue after the troopers are posted in the schools.
