Delaware and Rhode Island are included in "The Nine" because they are among the nine least populated states.

RI and Delaware aren't anywhere close to "empty". They have small populations because they are small area wise. Rhode Island is the second most densely populated state (behind NJ) and Delaware #6. Population Density is what determines empty space in a state, and based on that Florida, California & Texas (along with most other states) are far emptier than RI & Delaware.

Couldn't/wouldn't watch the whole video because the whole premise is bullshit.

The weather.

It's the most hostile weather I've seen in the lower 48...

Windy as hell, bitterly cold and then blows harder.

Huge gaps in services between cities.

Lots of people move to WY and enjoy their first summer and run away in January.
