US Atty, FBI, USSS press conference:
Update on the investigation into the guy with the gun near the Trump golf course.
1. The road is still blocked off, but they're accommodating locals
2. Security at Mar-a-Lago has been heightened
3. The US Atty: the investigation is ongoing. He has been charged only with firearms offenses at this time: a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number
4. The feds are continuing to investigate a possible assassination attempt
5. FBI: We are investigating this matter as an apparent assassination attempt. We can't discuss much publicly because the investigation is ongoing. Routh invoked his right to an attorney.
6. USSS: He mentioned the July 13th assassination attempt and that the Secret Service moved to increase protection. Increased protections were in place yesterday. The subject did not have line of sight to trump and did not fire any shots.
