I have been busy and not able to follow the "news."
Have they said what sort of weapons the Secret Service discharged?
Have they explained why they fired in the direction of a busy street?
Have they said how many shots were fired?

...and, unless I haven't paid close enough attention, they haven't elaborated much beyond just repeating themselves that there was an assassination "attempt" (my quotes).
In other words, they're in a loop ad haven't broken out of it since last night.
