Vance has made it clear that these stories were fabricated, just to be more interesting than the truth.

We don't need to keep the topic going, even when it's supposedly "parody". And some of the cartoons I've seen on DU lately are clearly by right-leaning cartoonists, making light of a serious situation which literally endangers innocent lives. Just stop.


ETA: For those who don't "get it", the point is to STOP HURTING INNOCENTS targeted by Uglicans. Sure, your post may do a little to harm the GOP's reputation (if that's even possible anymore), but is the cost of possible harm to innocents worth it ? Let the topic go away, and give sanity a chance to return.

Seems to me if someone is badly mangling their own campaign, then keeping the pressure on and pointing out the absurd dishonesty would hurt rather than aid GOP numbers.

And I certainly don't think avoiding the topic will reduce, or even mitigate, existing harm as well as the harm to come. Indeed, I believe ignoring it will place more people in more danger.

about cats and dogs - or humor. Does anyone here seriously think that Donald Trump has legitimate 'concern' about the pet population in suburban Ohio? The issue is clearly one of fear mongering and hate. Not humor. And the latter has often been employed as an potent and effective weapon against the former.
