UPDATE: Rep. Mark Greens daughter comments on his affair, calling him increasingly self-centered, not the Christian conservative he sells himself as, and saying theyve had to grieve the loss of the person we thought was our father
Family blames toxic environment in D.C. for affair, but infidelity might not be enough for him to lose reelection bid

This week, Camilla Green, the wife of Republican Rep. Mark Green, texted a group of Congress members to warn them against the evils of politics, accusing Green of being corrupted by D.C. and having an affair with a woman 27 years younger than him.
The scandal, which comes less than a month after he filed for divorce, raises questions about the Tennessee Congressmans brand as a pro-family conservative, including from his own daughter.
Camillas emotionally charged text described the other woman as a predator and misidentified her as an employee at a political news outlet. Later, an unnamed woman who works in politics told Politico she had an affair with the congressman and Camilla admitted to flubbing the womans employer in the text.
When the Banner tried to reach Camilla, the couples adult daughter confirmed her mothers mistake.

(119 posts)but it certainly is a trend for middle aged men to deviate from their marriages......older men (Rep. or Dem.) continuously desire physical intimacy as most womens sexual desires tapper off significantly after menopause. This is most prevalent in Europe.
While men do cheat more than women statistically, plenty of women cheat too.

(283 posts)In my experience, men who do this have often had many affairs prior to menopause. Menopause tends to free women up from burdens of periods and possible unwanted pregnancies.
