There was no bullet nearly taking his ear off. There was so little blood that I suspect one of the SS agents had a tube of fake blood handy. I saw one grainy picture of the wound that it would be hard to be 100% sure, but it looked little worse than a paper cut. I've scratched my ear with a chipped fingernail and it didn't bleed more than a few drops. Not nearly enough to come down all over my face like that.

If a bullet went by that close, why wasn't anyone behind him hurt? They didn't even get down on the platform (I would have dived for cover at the first shot, I'm not a fool), just sat there.
