Well, my day started on a downer. Text message , saying falsely Jimmy Carter died.

I hought it was odd that my phone had not blown up, and immediately came to DU. WHEW!! Nothing. Some sicko out there thinks this kind of thing is funny.

At least now Ii can restart my day on a better note. Hate those assholes.

I do have to admit that, after thinking about Jimmy and Rosalynn for a minute, my thoughts were about how this sad news would knock the orange monster off the front page, which made me smile.

It's a defective product if it harms the public. Regulate it to death.

it's a communications revolution but there are bugs to be worked out. i'm encouraged that the internet of 20 years ago is now irrelevant and barely archived. so we can erase/bury our glitches. We need to innovate our way to the future, but archaic political and business interests control the legal system, mostly.

Without modern digital communications, would we be in a civil war right now? maybe we reap greater rewards than i credit them for.

This is usually one of the first sites I open in the morning, before any MSM (y'alls are a way better source)…I almost had a friggin' heart attack myself! Say FAKE text message or something!!

I just pay them no mind. It’s a bit harder to ignore when it comes from someone you know on FB, but no harder than setting the person straight.

even when there is no quality of life anymore. Besides, Carter doesn't believe he is dying but that he is going home and looks towards that moment in happy anticipation. He has lived a full life and certainly looks forward to seeing his beloved Rosalyn and other deceased loved ones.
