TX-SEN: Democrats build momentum in Texas Senate race

Democrats are seeing new signs they could make inroads in the traditionally deep-red state of Texas this fall.

The party has long faced hurdles in the Lone Star State. Winning the White House race this year still looks like a long shot, and the party has experienced disappointing losses in recent cycles after former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D) nearly ousted Sen. Ted Cruz (R) in 2018.

But new polling now suggests the party is competitive in Texas, both on the presidential level and in the race between Cruz and Democratic challenger Rep. Colin Allred, fueling hopes that this could be the year the state finally trends in the party’s direction.

“Anybody that says, ‘It just doesn’t happen in Texas’ — it doesn’t happen until it does,” pollster Brett Loyd said of the possibility Allred scores an upset in the Senate race.

The Texas Atty Gen is doing his best to suppress the vote in heavily Democratic areas (that are mostly minority) tells us the TX Republicans are feeling the heat.

of course, calls the likely win by Kamala and Tim a 'long shot'. History across the country since 2018 says otherwise. But, the corporate media will keep beating that dead horse race. It's all they have left. There is a great deal of latent frustration in the GQP that will be unleashed in this election. And it will not be pretty for the Republicans. I, for one, am looking forward to its demise.

Seriously.

Long shot? This clown must be having a bad acid trip.

Emphasis added.

I have been seeing several Colin Allred ads here in Corpus Christi criticizing Ted Cruz for "not wanting to secure the border." They have elected sheriffs from the border counties talking. I have not seen one Ted Cruz ad yet. I live in a large city in Texas, and it's about 50/50, I believe. I don't know about other media markets like Houston, San Antonio Dallas, or Austin. Maybe somebody here could enlighten us?
